I wanted this to work... and I knew that drawing a boot just was not working for me so, I grabbed this old ( bigger) Sizzix die and cut one out and used the negative drop piece as a stencil to run a pencil around inside of to get a boot shape. I also wanted to do "flower" colors so, I dug out a pallet of pastel almost like gouache type paints and tried this again. I wanted the flowers to have more depth so a few of them got double layers of paint petals. I thought it was dry when I stamped the sentiment on but, since it slightly bled on the boot I guess it was not all the way dry. and because of that I just left it like this and did not make it into a card front. There are process shots here on the blog. Thanks for this challenge Angie & tfl.

You know, if you hadn't mentioned the bleed on the sentiment I probably wouldn't have noticed it. My attention was drawn to your etherial flowers - so gorgeous! I love the dots of white around them. You have really given your boot a nice dimensional look too with your painting. This is a lovely card front even if you don't actually use it as such.

Great boot and great idea to do a stencil to get the shape. Your flowers are super pretty, Stacy. That sentiment is so perfect for it too. Hugz
